Google Reader Now Translates RSS

It is hard for us to understand other Busby SEO Test competitor post or discussion about SEO Contest or Busby Test, especially when they are use other native language rather than English. Usually we use Google translator, but it took times. But now I can read and translate all my competitor post easily, by using Google Reader.

It seems Google want to be global leader in the web market, not just for Search Engine. They announce automatic translation in Google Reader which will automatically translate a feed into your own language. By using Google Translate technology, this option doesn’t seem to provide perfect translation.

With this integration users can easily translate feeds from the drop down menu on the top right corner into their native language. But I found many bloggers disappointed because of it’s poorly translated versions.

Read about Google announcement here :

Next time you find an interesting feed in another language, just subscribe to it as normal in Reader. When you view the feed in Reader, check off “Translate into my language” in the feed settings, and (voila!) the feed will be immediately translated for you. Also, this setting will be saved so you can always view this feed in your own language.

But I have to realized this new Google feature is not perfect, Yet. It is hard to translate into other languages as there are so many dialects and slang terms that it can often be hard to get the exact meaning. And let’s hope Google will doing better and better for this new application.
